self publishing companies

as i touched on yesterday, there are lots of avenues and companies to take your book to the next level. here’s a comparison among the top 4 self publishing companies:

Amazon KDP is the easiest entry point: free setup, instant global reach, and strong visibility, but you’re locked into Amazon’s ecosystem, and print quality can be hit-or-miss.

BookWright by Blurb shines if you care about beautiful, highly visual books (like children’s books or coffee-table editions). It offers great design tools and premium printing, but costs are higher and distribution beyond Blurb/Amazon is limited.

Lulu gives flexibility and good print quality, with wide distribution options (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Ingram catalog).

IngramSpark is the professional’s choice: industry-wide distribution (bookstores, libraries, schools), higher credibility, and bulk discounts. however, there are setup fees, and it requires more technical knowledge and patience.

do you know about any of these companies?
